After School Programs

Overview

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
Times: 2:35 pm - 3:30 pm
Location: Hoosac Valley Middle School, 125 Savoy Rd, Cheshire, MA 01225
Pick Up: 3:30 pm at HVMS Main Entrance
Bussing: If you student needs the late bus, please let us know. Bus departs HVMS at 3:30 pm.

Monday

• Pokemon Club: 2:30-3:25 (all grades) - students will learn how to play a Pokemon battle, and will be able to battle against other students.
• Diamond Dotz: 2:30-3:25 (7th grade only) - students will learn Social/Emotional skills as they work together to complete crafts.
• Minecraft Club: 2:30-3:25 (all grades) - students will work together to build a Minecraft city, and use academic skills to grow their cities.
• Cooking Club: 2:30-3:25 (7th grade only) - students will work together to follow recipes to create homemade meals.

Tuesday

• Pokemon Club: 2:30-3:25 (all grades) - students will learn how to play a Pokemon battle, and will be able to battle against other students.
• Intro to Yoga: 2:30-3:25 (all grades) - students will participate in a weekly yoga/meditation session to help them calm themselves and to learn yoga/meditation skills and strategies.
• Intro to Ukulele: 2:30-3:25 (grades 4-6) - students will learn the basics of the ukulele and how to play several songs.

Thursday

• Intro to Guitar: 2:30-3:25 (grades 5-7) - students will learn the basics of the guitar and how to play several chords and songs.
• Diamond Dotz: 2:30-3:25 (7th grade only) - students will learn Social/Emotional skills as they work together to complete crafts.

Friday

• Pokemon Club: - 2:30-3:25 (all grades) - students will learn how to play a Pokemon battle, and will be able to battle against other students.
• Intro to Guitar: - 2:30-3:25 (grades 5-7) - students will learn the basics of the guitar and how to play several chords and songs.
• Role Playing Game (RPG) Club: 2:30-4:30 (7th grade only) - students will use their imagination and some prompts to recreate a world of their own, with their peers.
